Next to swampy and fragile Caddo Lake in East Texas, lies a dormant weapons manufacturing site, wherein explosive chemicals have been baked and pounded into the land. The proximity of these wildly different locations provides the basis for Come as You Are, an essay film which juxtaposes imagery of abandoned testing facilities with gorgeous bald cypress forests as a reflection on stewardship and complicity.
